A VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUP FROM THE FRUITED LIFE

For the strong one who is running on empty and calling it normal.

Six Thursdays to put the cape down, practice rest rooted in Scripture, and be held by women who understand. A virtual support group for Black Christian women anywhere in the U.S.

Founding cohort begins Thursday, January 14, 2027. Waitlist members hear first and get founding pricing.

You know her. You might be her.

You are the one everyone calls. You answer the work message at breakfast, check on your mother by lunch, hold the house or the team together all afternoon, and pray for strength somewhere in between. When someone asks how you are, you say "blessed and highly favored" or "I'm managing," and you mean neither all the way. You are not weak for being tired. You were never meant to carry it all alone.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

WHAT IT IS

Selah means pause. Abide means remain.

For six weeks, a small group of women will practice both together.

Selah & Abide is a six-week, faith-based support group. Each Thursday we pray, breathe, learn, and talk honestly about the weight of being the strong one, then practice ancient Christian ways of rest you can take into the rest of your week.

Because "just pray about it" and pushing through were never the whole plan.

Six weeks, six invitations

Week 1

Selah, The Sacred Pause

Rest as God's design, not a reward you earn.

Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

Week 4

Week 2

Naming Our Burdens

Week 5

Community as Resistance

Rooted in research

Selah & Abide was developed through doctoral research on Black women, stress, and Christian contemplative practice. In the first group, 10 of 11 women completed all six weeks, and their confidence in using these practices rose significantly.

In their words

Before, Week 2:
“I experienced the consequence of rest.”

After, Week 6:
“
Just as I don’t have to earn salvation, I don’t have to earn rest.”

Pilot sis, first Selah & Abide group

“I received peace in all circumstances. I know how to recenter myself when I’m feeling stress... or anything not of Christ, I now ground myself.”

Pilot member, first Selah & Abide group

Your facilitator:
Dr. Stacy McCall-Martin, LMFT

Stacy is a scholar-practitioner, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and the founder of The Fruited Life. She created Selah & Abide through her doctoral research for women who have spent years holding everyone else together, and she leads every group herself. In the first group, 10 of 11 women completed all six weeks.

Questions you might have

Is this therapy?
No. Stacy is a licensed psychotherapist, but Selah & Abide is a faith-based support group, not psychotherapy or counseling. If you want therapy, we will gladly point you to a licensed therapist in your state.

No. Any woman living in the U.S. can join.

Do I have to be on camera or share?
No. Cameras are welcome and never required, and you can always pass.

I'm not very "churchy." Is this for me?
Yes. Faith is woven through the group, and there is room for wherever you are with God.

What does it cost?
Founding pricing goes to the waitlist first when enrollment opens December 1. Buy now, pay later is available at checkout, and need-based seats are set aside for each group.
